So most of you may think that working here in the Career Waymark global headquarters is a glamorous life, but I’m here to set you straight. While most days are filled with conference calls, demo’s, other assorted meetings, today I was thrown a bit of a curveball. Our normal day care provider decided to take a day off which means that in addition to my normal routine, I’m chasing my 14 month old around. Talk about making things interesting.
Here are the highlights so far:
- Facilitated conference call with my daughter adding her opinions in the background.
- checked email and prepared for next meeting as my daughter rearranged the books in my office
- changed the mother of all poopy diapers
- tried in vain to get my daughter to take a morning nap, further office renovations were chosen instead
- spoke with coworker as my daughter tugged on my headset
Whew, and it’s only 10:30. What have you done today.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Until next time…

Hahaa - Wow, sounds like you’ve had a handful and a half of a morning!!

Sounds like dad’s going to need a nap before too long.

It’s actually been a lot of fun. I’m just glad I had a light workload. Speaking of which I think we’re heading for the pool…
I can understand esp. regarding 14 month olds
Beware, it is the terrible twos! Mine has learnt to open the fridge and throw all the stuff around
As much as I’d like to try it, there’s no way I could bring my little guy to work with me. He’s just far too inquisitive and mobile - definitely not a sit down & read storybooks or color with crayons kinda kiddo.
That sounds like an adventure. I couldn’t bring my son to work, he is two, because I share an office with 3 other people and it would be distracting. I might have fun, but they probably wouldn’t appreciate it.
