batman.jpgiron-man.jpgindy.jpgAlright boys and girls, next weekend officially kicks off summer movie season. With that in mind I thought we’d have a little discussion on which movie(s) you’re most looking forward to this summer.

Next weekend we get started with: the comic super hero Iron Man and the romantic comedy Made of Honor, the following week we get cartoon turned big screen offering Speed Racer. Later this summer we’ll also get the Indiana Jones sequel, the next Batman Chapter and scores of others. So which ones are you most looking forward to?

As for me, my top 3 would include; Speed Racer (loved it as a kid), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and The Dark Knight, with the Will Smith comedy Hancock getting an honorable mention. So let me know what you think.

Until next time…

Scotty, thanks for posing the GREAT question…if you know the Cap’n, you know hes a Superhero fanatic, so I have to say I’m looking forward to the following:
Ironman - holey moley, does this look AWESOME! I can not wait for this and actually hope it earns MEGA trillions… =)
The Dark Knight - Batman Begins surprised everyone, it was simply cool. Bale was phenomenal in it and this follow-up looks to do no less then wow the socks off of everyone.
Indy - Come on, its Indy!!! Does he still have the spring in his step??? Current previews appear so… hoep this is good and not a let down…
Speed Racer - Loved it as a kid, I’m still not sure how to take the trailers out so far, the visuals look specatacular but I hope its not on the edge of hokey as well….
Get Smart - Previews look really really good, Carrel could be a natural giving us a laugh in a summer of action
Prince Caspian - Sequel looks like they took the stops out and I might have to break down and go see it…
Hancock - another superhero movie and it has Will Smith!! the premise looks great, making it realistic of a guy who has a job he doesnt necessarily want and causes more damage then he helps. Could be the surprise of the summer…

I’m really looking forward to Iron Man, Batman Begins, & Indiana Jones! Speed Racer? Not so much… Maybe I just can’t buy into the vision - and I was never much of a fan of the animates show anyway…

@Rob -I’m hoping Speed Racer is good, but it could go either way.

@Cap’n -Hancock just looks hilarious.

I think Speed Racer would be more of an honorable mention for me. I gotta go with Indiana Jones all the way. Pretty much love everything about it so I’m hoping it lives up to my dreams.

Also hoping they don’t screw up Get Smart. And, of course, gotta give a shout out to The Dark Knight, X-files, Hancock, and Wall-E (which could end up being Pixar’s best yet).

Late to the party, but Speed Racer definitely not on my list.

My list, in no particular order:

Indiana Jones
X-Files 2
The Dark Knight
